How It Works

1. USB charges the internal battery — plug in the supplied cable and the built-in rechargeable NI-MH cell fills in roughly six hours. No solar panel to position, so it charges indoors on a wet week.
2. The battery runs the LED — about eight hours at full brightness, or past 48 hours on the 20% setting, which is where most people end up leaving it for ambient garden lighting.
3. The remote sends the commands — colour, brightness level, mode and animation speed are all handled from the handset rather than a button on the light.
4. The shell diffuses the light — the moulded PE body spreads the LED evenly so the whole ball glows rather than showing a bright spot inside.

How to Use

1. Charge it fully first — about six hours on the supplied USB cable before the first use.
2. Place it where you want it — any flat surface, indoors or out. Nothing to install, wire or dig.
3. Switch the power on at the base — the toggle sits underneath the ball.
4. Set it from the remote — choose a colour, set the brightness, then either lock it static or pick Flash, Strobe, Fade or Smooth.

Care and Maintenance

• Wipe the shell — a soft damp cloth when it gets dusty; skip anything abrasive, as the PE surface scratches if you scrub it
• Keep the port cover shut — close it between charges so moisture stays out, which matters most in humid and coastal areas
• Top up when runtime drops — recharge via USB as soon as you notice the evenings getting shorter
• Store part-charged — if one's going away for a few months, charge it to around half first; batteries hold up better stored part-charged than flat
